DESIGN & COMFORT
The Sennheiser HD 458BT headset has a sublime design & comfort. It is packed appropriately. You can find the unit, storage case, AUX cable, and others when you open the box. There is also the manual if you want to use it.
As always, if you use wireless models, ensure that they are ultimately charged. Based on the testing, we found it takes 2 hours for charging. Then it works for more than 20 hours, which is quite decent.
Our tester used it for more than 10 hours, and it still has a charge. Its design is similar to that of the HD 450BT. Besides, those of you who have used or seen the earlier model of the HD 4.50BT might feel the same.
The earcups are quite large, and you feel quite comfortable wearing them for lengthy hours. The band that connects the earcups are nicely padded, and there is ample material used in there. This is something that you usually don’t get to see on most of the headsets in the market.
Unfortunately, the earcups have a minimalist design. You can fold them inwards if you want, and they can be held in one hand effortlessly. You can place the headset inside the carrying case that is produced from the canvas.
It is convenient but does not provide the kind of protection that you want. The black & red tones used in the HD 458BT unit make them different from the HD 450BT model. Apart from these differences, we did not notice any other distinct differences.
Likewise, the Sennheiser HD 450BT headset is a remote and plain-looking unit. They come in two colors of black & white. Probably, this is a drawback of the Sennheiser models; they don’t seem to have the looks at all, barring the Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless NoiseGard Adaptive.

BUILD QUALITY

The microphone performance of the Sennheiser HD 458BT headset is incredible. Our tester used the microphone for calling up and was satisfied with the results. It was able to pick up the noise efficiently.
The sound from the microphone was audible, and the individual on the other side could hear. However, the sound was low if you spoke in a noisy environment. All in all, it was alright and manageable for making calls and answering them.
Similarly, the Sennheiser HD 450BT headset comes with an integrated microphone. The recording capability is not really good; your sound is natural, you can notice the details quite lacking as they should.
We thought that the JBL Tune 760NC Wireless did a fantastic job when it came to microphone. Here, the microphone noise handling was not sturdy. The voice of the person can get lost on the horizon, and you might struggle in the noisy environment.

Абсолютный немецкий минимализм на каждый день
Предшественник Sennheiser HD 458BT пришелся по нраву многим. Но простое оформление сказалось не лучшим образом на их распространении.

Очень зря: именно эти «сенхи» стали редкими накладными «мониторами», которые выглядят не громоздко на любой голове и отлично сочетаются с одеждой в любом стиле.
Модный спортивный костюм или классический пиджак, драные джинсы или скромный кэжуал — каждому из них подойдут простые линии HD 4.50R, сохранившиеся в обновленных HD 458BT.
Новинка сохранила форму, но получила новое оформление: красные вставки на черном здорово оживляют. Стилягам зайдёт, но и консерваторов не отпугнёт.
Абсолютный минимализм гладких чашек не портят ни контрастные вставки, ни обилие кнопок. Монолит!
Качество, к которому нет претензий
Конструкция выполнена из пластика, налитого на гибкую металлическую основу. Прочность невероятная: дужку можно перекрутить вдвое, и она не сломается!
Отдельное спасибо инженерам стоит сказать за приятное софт-тач покрытие всех пластиковых элементов HD 458BT, которое стойко переносит соседство с металлическими предметами и не собирает пыль, отпечатки и разводы.
Изнутри оголовье получило плотную резиновое уплотнение без эффекта памяти. Носить комфортно, в рюкзаке не портится, садится на любую голову и не портит прическу.
Амбушюры выполнены из плотной пористой резины повышенной относительно конкурентов толщины — как в топовых студийных «мониторах».
Покрытие выполнено из синтетической кожи, благодаря чему голова под ним неплохо дышит. Если вокруг не +30 по Цельсию, конечно.
Для моддеров, аудиофилов и поклонников натуральных материалов замена не составит труда: снимаются они в меру (на ходу не снять) легко, доступных аналогов тьма. Впрочем, нужно ли? Стоковые очень хороши.
Максимальный комфорт на каждый день
Но все же, главная особенность HD 458BT — удобство ношения для всех и каждого: гибкое раздвижное оголовье и мягкие чашки настраиваются под любой размер и подходят даже для многочасового ношения.
Как и положено повседневной гарнитуре, Sennheiser HD 458BT имеют складную конструкцию. Шарниры плотные, не люфтят что в сложенном, что в раскрытом положении.
Наушники прекрасно умещаются в небольших объемах: подойдёт даже поясная сумка. C учетом того, что в комплекте только мягкий чехол — особенность очень важная.
Посадка мягкая, комфортная и в меру пружинистая. С головы наушники не съедут ни во время активного перемещения, ни при резких движениях головой.
Бегать в них маловероятно: хотя наушники очень легкие (особенно в сравнении), они ощущаются на голове, да и защиты от пота нет. Но надев гарнитуру с утра, в обед нет желания её стащить, как со многими аналогами.

Элементы управления и разъемы для проводных подключений, включая USB-C для зарядки наушников, сконцентрированы на нижней грани правого «уха».
Первая, расположенная ближе к разъему зарядки, запускает голосовой помощник.
Работает с любым назначенным в системе за главного, будь то Siri или Google Assistant. Вероятно, подойдет и Cortrana, получившей русский в последнем обновлении Windows.
Следующая кнопка — многофункциональная, с её помощью можно управлять воспроизведением музыки, принимать и отключать вызовы.

Техника на страже качественного звука
Согласно паспортным данным, Sennheiser HD 458BT воспроизводит весьма широкий диапазон от 18 Гц до 22000 Гц, что обеспечивают отличные 40-миллиметровые широкополосные динамики собственной разработки компании.
Цифры честные, но об этом чуть позже. Ведь в них не было бы никакого прока без современного модуля Bluetooth 5.0 (против Bluetooth 4.0 e HD 4.50R) и поддержки кодеков AAC, AptX и AptX Low Latency (в HD 4.50R был только AptX). Кроме того наушники получили современный разъём USB-C.
Увы, владельцы техники Apple не в полной мере смогут оценить новинку бренда: AptX LL обеспечивает заметное преимущество над AAC в потоковом вещании, во время игр и просмотра фильмов благодаря самым низким в беспроводном звуке задержкам.
Впрочем, не привыкать. Благо начинка хороша настолько, что музыка будет звучать хорошо вне зависимости от источника.
Встроенный аккумулятор обеспечивает 30 часов автономной работы на средней громкости и до 20 часов воспроизведения с включенным «шумодавом». Как и диапазон, цифры внушают.
…А с приложением ещё лучше
Возможности «железа» HD 458BT в полной мере раскрывает приложение Sennheiser Smart Control, доступное для iOS и Android-устройств.
Основная задача приложения — регулярное обновление прошивки наушников, с которым сталкиваешься при первом подключении к смартфону. Процесс не быстрый.
Также с помощью Smart Control можно запустить быстрый поиск Bluetooth-устройств и разобраться с управлением наушников, используя наглядные схемы.
Меломанам понравится графический встроенный эквалайзер в виде волны. Довольно простой, но чрезвычайно эффективный.
Если звучание захочется изменить, а разбираться в визуализации — нет, есть ряд готовых схем для разных сценариев использования, в список которых можно добавить созданные самостоятельно.
Особняком среди них стоят предустановки «Фильм» и «Подкаст»: обе выделяют речь в общем фоне. Работает удивительно хорошо даже с очень плохими голосовыми записями.

Шумоподавление, за которое не стыдно
Пассивное шумоподавление Sennheiser HD 458BT превосходно: огромные амбушюры, будто взятые от студийных наушников, полностью скрывают уши, облегают их, закрывая от внешних источников звука.
В парке или офисе этого достаточно даже при выключенной музыке: пробиваются только редкие резкие звуки.
Для большего есть фирменный ANC, активирующийся одним нажатием уже упомянутой кнопки. Доступны только состояния «включено» и «выключено» — режим пропускания отсутствует, как и какая-либо регулировка.
Впрочем, это было бы излишне, поскольку включение практически не меняет качество звука, при этом полностью справляясь с задачей не хуже флагманов рынка.
Эффект на лицо: шумодав прекрасно справляется с звуками метро, общественного транспорта и даже заводским грохотом. Пропускаются только неожиданные резкие звуки, выделяющиеся громкостью.
Но, как мы понимаем, это «не баг, а фича» — в столь простой схеме подобное поведение необходимо для безопасного передвижения по городу в наушниках.
Звучат лучше, чем можно представить
Вопреки своей строгой классической внешности, Sennheiser HD 458BT обладают ярко окрашенным, молодежным и современным звуком с заметным уклоном в низкочастотный спектр.
Басов много — особенно ультранизкого суббаса. Звучат они объемно, богато, «жирно». Так, что бас-бочку слышно в любой композиции, а электроника становится нескончаемым живым рейвом.
Стоит ли записывать такое поведение в недостатки? Конечно нет: ярких высоких достаточно, средние детализированы и точны.
При необходимости можно воспользоваться эквалайзером, способным сгладить бас-линию или замаскировать её средненизкой.
Совершенно спрятать характер новинки не удастся. Но именно такое поведение необходимо для разборчивого звучания любых «ушей» в сложных, зашумленных условиях прогулок по мегаполису.
Так что в отличие от флагманских вариантов Sennheiser серии Momentum, от HD 458BT не стоит ждать высокоточного воспроизведения.
Эти наушники нужны для удовольствия, в них приятно слушать разнообразные электронные жанры, хип-хоп, в меру грязный металл и хард-рок.

Штекер 2,5 мм не так распространён, как стандартный мини-джек, а тут он ещё с дополнительным поворотным креплением. Так провод очень надёжно крепится к наушникам, но комплектный кабель лучше не терять. Аудио-кабель плоский, не склонный к запутыванию, зарядный – прочный и достаточной длины.

Выглядят наушники интересно: общий дизайн спокойный, солидный, можно сказать. А красные акценты добавляют оригинальности и свежести. Это модель для тех, кто любит яркий, но не броский внешний вид. Для сторонников классики и спокойного дизайна есть Sennheiser HD 450 BT в чёрной и белой расцветке с серыми вставками.
Конструкция Sennheiser HD 458 BT полностью пластиковая, даже в дужке оголовья металла не заметил. Но пластик качественный, выглядит надёжным. Оголовье узкое, есть подкладка из эко-кожи. Дужка не особо гибкая, но крепкая, сломать её будет непросто. Места, где наушники складываются, тоже пластиковые, но внутри видны металлические штыри-оси.
Чаши могут немного наклоняться по горизонтали и совсем слегка поворачиваться по вертикали. Но повернуть их, чтобы удобно повесить на шею или «плоско» расположить в рюкзаке не получится. Пластик чаш, так же как и оголовья, матовый, на нём не остаются отпечатки пальцев и микро-царапины. На голове смотрятся аккуратно, в стороны не выступают, на улице выглядят гармонично.

Амбушюры у Sennheiser HD 458 BT съёмные, овальные, покрыты искусственной кожей. Наощупь она вполне приятная, только маркая. Она каждый раз «блестит» после того, как снимаешь наушники. И нет, это не тот случай, что «голову надо чаще мыть». Подтёки от любых жидкостей на амбушюрах тоже легко остаются и плохо стираются.
У меня серьёзных претензий к дизайну и сборке нет. Кому-то не понравятся яркие акценты, кому-то общая концепция может показаться скучноватой. На вкус и цвет. ��
