Когда Apple показала новый iPad mini, я мгновенно влюбился в этот планшет.
Перед вами редкий случай, когда купертиновцы делают ровно то, чего от него ждут, без каких-либо изменений. Спустя 2 недели у меня в руках появился тот самый «миник».
Я провёл с ним уже неделю и готов поделиться реальными впечатлениями. Действительно ли он заслуживает внимания или это очередная безделушка? Расскажу обо всем по порядку.
С iPad mini я вспомнил, почему вообще когда-то купил себе планшет
За что вообще любят iPad?
Для большинства людей планшет нужен именно для потребления контента. И с этой задачей он всегда справлялся отменно: неброский, компактный дизайн, удобное управление и большой экран. Что ещё нужно?
На нем удобно смотреть видео, читать, серфить интернет и даже работать. Только сейчас я не говорю о каких-то колоссальных размерах дисплея, типа как у iPad Pro 12.9.
Я говорю о рядовом «айпэде», в котором нет гигантского количества киллер-фич. Гаджет просто есть у вас с собой всегда и везде, и вы им пользуетесь постоянно.
Все ещё не думаю, что iPad способен заменить компьютер. Для тяжелых и ёмких задач есть Mac и PC. С планшетом ты расслабляешься и полностью в него погружаешься.
Собственно, поэтому я взял в своё время iPad mini с Retina-экраном. Это был самый лучший портативный планшет из имеющихся.
Его можно положить при желании даже в карман джинс или во внутренний карман куртки. И при этом устройство оставалось мощным, ничем не уступающим своим большим «собратьям» в повседневных задачах.
Pro-юзеры — это отдельная каста людей, которым планшет нужен для определенных задач, для работы, а не для отдыха.
Главная задача «миника» заключается в доставлении удовольствия своему хозяину в те моменты, когда рука устала от iPad побольше.
Он практически не изменился. Все привычное на месте
Дизайн полностью сохранился. В этом есть свои плюсы и минусы.
Размер остался прежним. Это все ещё 7.9-дюймовое устройство, которое удобно лежит в руке за счёт своих небольших габаритов и веса (308 грамм).
Разъём под наушники остался. Это очередной намёк, перед нами не самый продвинутый аппарат, отвечающий всем последним трендам. С этим планшетом вы можете спокойно слушать музыку через проводные наушники, и это классно. Хоть где-то Apple оставила нам выбор.
Толстые рамки, о боже. Вас действительно они напрягают? Настолько, что планшет хочется убрать в сторону и забыть о нем? Или его задача всё-таки в комфортном времяпрепровождении за счёт технических возможностей?
Думаю, этот вопрос можно оставить без ответа. Это вкусовщина, и выбор каждый делает для себя сам. Но лично меня они ни капельки не смущают, потому что по производительности iPad mini 5-го поколения более чем устраивает меня.
Я понимаю, что ради двух дополнительных динамиков пришлось бы пожертвовать 3,5-мм разъемом, но все же…
Единственное внешнее отличие от старых «миников» в перемещенном заднем микрофоне. Если раньше он был рядом с объективом камеры, то теперь его поставили в центр.
А вот чего действительно не хватает новинке, так это стереозвука. К хорошему быстро привыкаешь, и даже после iPhone начинает замечать этот недостаток: когда берёшь планшет горизонтально и случайно закрываешь динамик — звук сразу же приглушается.
По железу никаких претензий. Это флагман в компактном корпусе
Первое, что бросается в глаза — True Tone дисплей. Это то, чего так сильно не хватало iPad mini.
Если ты пользуешься мини-планшетом, то проводишь в нем больше времени, чем в более громоздких моделях. А все потому, что его можно легко достать где угодно и когда угодно. И очень здорово, что глаза при этом будут меньше напрягаться.
Сейчас нет другого планшета такого же размера, который мог бы конкурировать с iPad: экосистема приложений для Android-планшетов далека от совершенства. И в них, как правило, стоит очень слабое железо.
Играть на iPad mini 5 одно удовольствие
Apple решила не мелочиться и установить в гаджет топовый процессор A12. Его мощь видна сразу же после распаковки: все работает максимально быстро, нет ни намёка на тормоза или фризы. Благодаря ему экран плавно разбивается на 2 половины. Тогда как в том же mini 4 чувствовались микролаги. Мне показалось, что даже Touch ID работает быстрее.
Трёх гигабайт оперативки тоже хватило. Поскольку iPad mini 5 в связке с iOS 12 не так требователен к производительности, то встроенного количества памяти хватает за глаза.
Одновременно открывал 5 приложений, и ни одно из них не закрылось через какое-то время. Даже вкладки Safari не перезагружались после их повторного открытия. Это ли ни чудо?
Apple Pencil работает идеально, но беспроводной зарядки явно не хватает
И да, теперь iPad mini поддерживает Apple Pencil. Правда, эта поддержка в равной степени сбивает с толку: iPad Pro вышел в конце прошлого года с «пэнсилом» второго поколения, который примагничивается к боковой поверхности iPad и заряжается без проводов, но у нового «мини 5» такой фишки нет.
Вместо этого перед вами карандаш первого поколения, который никогда не хватал звёзд с неба. Его по-прежнему нужно подключать к порту Lightning для зарядки. Не очень понимаю, почему сделали именно так, но да ладно.
Сам по себе Pencil такой же, как и на других «айпэдах»: он быстрый и отзывчивый, отлично работает с поддерживаемыми приложениями, и в целом заставляет чувствовать iPad mini нечто большим, чем простым потребительским устройством.
По части камеры у меня вообще не возникло каких-либо нареканий. Лично я не фотографирую на планшет, для этого у меня есть iPhone. Но кому-то эта опция необходима.
Окей, тогда посмотрите на фотографии ниже и попробуйте угадать, какая из них сделана на iPhone X и какая на iPad mini 5:
Видите гигантскую разницу? Я нет. А все потому, что в этом «минике» установлен тот же 8-мегапиксельный модуль. Фотографирует он восхитительно, передавая практически настоящие цвета и тени. Большего и не нужно.
iPad mini 5 работает безумно долго
Да-да, автономность зависит от того, как вы пользуетесь устройством.
Но вот вам мой дневной кейс:
▪️ просмотр видео YouTube и Netflix (около часа в день)
▪️ написание новостей (целый день)
▪️ базовое редактирование фотографий (минут 15 в день)
▪️ игра в Asphalt 9 (около часа в день)
И если я снимал планшет с зарядки в 9-10 утра, то к вечеру у меня оставалось ещё процентов 30 зарядки. Это ли не результат? Планшета спокойно хватает на 1,5 дня при достаточно сильной нагрузке.
При умеренном использовании нового «миника» совершенно точно хватит на несколько дней. А если вы с него смотрите по паре серий «Игры престолов» в день, то и подавно на неделю хватит заряда.
Кому брать, а кому подождать
Это определенно лучший планшет 2019 года
Не, всё-таки это годный планшет. Даже не так: он лучший в своей ценовой категории. Практически идеальное продолжение линейки mini.
Думаю, многим владельцам iPad знакомо чувство: стоишь в магазине и думаешь, а может подождать следующее поколение? Нет, в случае с «миником» ждать придётся долго. Как минимум, года 2-3.
Главные выводы:
1. Это планшет для всех владельцев iPad mini. С ним работать намного комфортнее, чем с четырехгодовалым iPad mini 4.
2. Он максимально компактный и влезает даже в карман куртки. Можно носить с собой вообще везде.
3. Всё-таки не хватает четырёх динамиков. Со стереозвуком пользоваться «айпэдом» гораздо приятнее.
4. 3 ГБ оперативки вполне хватает, чтобы нагрузить планшет несколькими приложениями одновременно. Они не закроются через 5 минут.
5. Помните, что Apple Pencil не идёт в комплекте с планшетом. Его нужно покупать отдельно за 9 тыс. рублей.
